Dannii

Senior Care Worker

Hello, I’m Dannii, I have been senior at Nightingales since 2019. I previously worked as a carer/senior for 4 years before taking time off to have a family. Here at Nightingales, I achieved my level 2 and 3 in health and social care. The best part of my job role is being able to make a difference to our residents’ lives, it may be anything from a smile or a few kind words of reassurance. We are a fantastic team here at nightingales, we are always smiling and supporting our colleagues and residents. I love working here – it’s a happy home for everything! 😊

Heather

Senior Care Worker

Hello, I’m Heather I’ve been a senior at Nightingales since 2018. I had a 10 month break to go back into working in the community, but I missed working at Nightingales so came back as working in a care home was what I enjoy most. On returning to Nightingales in April 2020 due to Covid-19, the home took it on itself to go into a full lockdown to protect the residents for 3 weeks. I, and 9 other colleagues remained at the home to ensure the residents were kept safe from the virus. I love working at Nightingales the staff and residents are everything to me. 😊

Debbie

Kitchen Manager & Senior Care Worker

Hi, I’m Debbie. I have been working for Nightingales since 2009. I’m the Kitchen Manager, and my team and I have received a 5-star food and hygiene rating for each and every one of those years of which we are very proud of, and we strive to carry on giving 5-star service in the future. Looking at the care side of Nightingales I spoke to Emily (Manager), I asked if I could do a few shadowing shifts with the senior care workers to see if I would enjoy it with all the different challenges it brings. I Thoroughly love it. I knew the residents and they know me which made it easier for me to settle in. The management and seniors have been very supportive in helping me with this career path while running the kitchen as well. Nightingales are a pleasure to work for and always listen and help us on our way to new goals.
