After meeting Sam in 2014 and combining our two lovely families, I took the decision to join her in the company later that year. My background is very diverse working across many sectors including public and private. I have taken on the role of Operational Manager at Nightingales, which covers a broad spectrum from finances, staff management and my favourite part of the job, interacting with the residents and their families. I have attained a Level 3 Diploma in Management to underpin my previous management experience. We have an amazing team of staff and are very proud of the service and care we provide to the Residents and their families.
I am currently the Registered Manager and have been in social care and work since 2014. I started as a carer with Nightingales in 2014 and am now in the privileged position of the Registered Manager's post on a permanent basis. I currently hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management in social care. We have an amazing team of staff and are very proud of the service and care we provide to the Residents and their families.
I began my journey with Nightingales in 2013 as part time administrative support to both the Domiciliary business and the Residential Home. My role has changed and grown over the years and I am very privileged to work in such beautiful surroundings. I work for everyone in the company and love my diverse role which changes daily!
Hi I’m Julia, My role at Nightingales is Management support. I’ve worked here since 2013 starting as a Domiciliary care worker in the community then changed my role and became a carer working in the home in 2018. In 2020 I became management support. I love working for Nightingales, It’s like working for one big happy family. The residents, staff, and management - we are all one.
Hello, I’m Dannii, I have been senior at Nightingales since 2019. I previously worked as a carer/senior for 4 years before taking time off to have a family. Here at Nightingales, I achieved my level 2 and 3 in health and social care. The best part of my job role is being able to make a difference to our residents’ lives, it may be anything from a smile or a few kind words of reassurance. We are a fantastic team here at nightingales, we are always smiling and supporting our colleagues and residents. I love working here – it’s a happy home for everything! 😊
Hello, I’m Heather I’ve been a senior at Nightingales since 2018. I had a 10 month break to go back into working in the community, but I missed working at Nightingales so came back as working in a care home was what I enjoy most. On returning to Nightingales in April 2020 due to Covid-19, the home took it on itself to go into a full lockdown to protect the residents for 3 weeks. I, and 9 other colleagues remained at the home to ensure the residents were kept safe from the virus. I love working at Nightingales the staff and residents are everything to me. 😊
Hi, I’m Debbie. I have been working for Nightingales since 2009. I’m the Kitchen Manager, and my team and I have received a 5-star food and hygiene rating for each and every one of those years of which we are very proud of, and we strive to carry on giving 5-star service in the future. Looking at the care side of Nightingales I spoke to Emily (Manager), I asked if I could do a few shadowing shifts with the senior care workers to see if I would enjoy it with all the different challenges it brings. I Thoroughly love it. I knew the residents and they know me which made it easier for me to settle in. The management and seniors have been very supportive in helping me with this career path while running the kitchen as well. Nightingales are a pleasure to work for and always listen and help us on our way to new goals.
